Start by running late. Be sure it's below freezing outside. Adrenaline caused by the panic of the possibility of loosing your job will raise your body temperature.
Bring your mascara to apply at stop lights. Also breakfast. This will distract you from the painful cold.
Bring a blanket to keep warm while your car heats up. Don't mind the strange looks from other drivers, they are just jealous and inspired by your genius.
And always, always, ALWAYS, use your long sleeves as gloves. Cuz who needs real gloves?
Mastering these skills will increase your chance of survival by at least 1.5%
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am about done with icy mornings!! Ready for a 65* sunrise run with a light wind at my back....... *sigh*
Moving on.....
Despite the chilly weather that makes me want nothing more than to curl up on the couch with hot apple cider, I got my butt out of the house for today's workout.
I feel as though I have been neglecting my core lately. So in order to teach myself a lesson, I did one round of Tina's Plank Challenge workout.
Kill - ER
The punishment fits the crime. I have paid my debt to my personal health and I have changed my ways.
Then in an effort to stay on schedule, I did two rounds of 9 Minute Arm Meltdown, minus the shoulder/chest circuit. I felt like the planks hit that hard enough.
My eats for the day.....
I also went to Olive Garden with my mom who is visiting this week. I had a beautiful bowl of Zuppa Toscana with a warm bread stick and the famous Salad. Did you know they have light dressing??? Just as good as the other stuff!
How cold is it where you are??
Do you prefer winter or summer weather?
